Most women are attractive to most men. I’d venture a guess that it’s around 60% to 75% of most women are attractive to most men. There will be wide variation in the percentages. But it will probably be more than half.
Men, try this thought experiment someday. Go through your life as you normally would. Go the places you’d normally go, do the things you’d normally do. But make a mental note of every woman you see, and assign her a “yes, I’d have sex with her now” or “no I would not have sex with her now”. My guess is that more than half of the women will be physically attractive enough for sex.
Most men aren’t attractive to most women. This is probably based on attraction being a cocktail of factors for women, and not based solely on looks (though among a few women, this seems to be changing).
(Some say about women’s “investment” level is much higher for sex, and therefore a woman’s decision to have sex is crucial. Well, they sure aren’t acting like it. A claim that women “invest” more and “risk” more with sex is BS. Some argue that it’s because there’s a chance her body will be occupied for 9 months with a pregnancy, higher STD rates, etc. I call BS. Women have access to all sorts of technology that has reduced those investments and risks to negligible levels. Most women have birth control taken care of; and STDs don’t seem to be slowing most of them down.)
As for the “woman can get laid anytime she wants” trope, that’s largely a truism for the plain women on up. For the truly unfortunates, not so much. I’ve often said any woman above a 4 in attractiveness can get pretty much whatever she wants, when she wants it. For a plain on up woman, a 4 and above, sex is on tap whenever she wants it. She can easily get a male 7 or 8 for pump and dump. If she wants a boyfriend, she’ll have to go downmarket, but she can get that. Same for a husband. She’ll easily secure commitment from a male 5 or 6.
